With the ability to use Discord on desktop and mobile platforms, making in touch with your friends and community is easy no matter where you are.

To disable automatic emojis in Discord, follow these steps:

  • Open Discord and log in to your account.
  • Click on the “User Settings” icon, which is the gear icon located in the bottom left corner of the Discord window.
  • In the User Settings menu, click on the “Text & Images” tab on the left side of the window.
  • Scroll down to the “Text Settings” section, and look for the “Automatically convert emoticons in your message to emoji” toggle.
  • Click on the toggle to turn it off.

Now, when you type an emoticon in your messages on Discord (such as 🙂 for a smiley face), it will not be automatically converted to an emoji. Instead, it will appear as text.

Alternatively, you can also disable automatic emojis for specific servers or channels. To do this, follow these steps:

  • Open Discord and log in to your account.
  • Right-click on the server or channel where you want to disable automatic emojis.
  • Click on “Edit Channel” in the menu that appears.
  • In the “Edit Channel” window, click on the “Text & Images” tab on the left side of the window.
  • Scroll down to the “Text Settings” section, and look for the “Automatically convert emoticons in your message to emoji” toggle.
  • Click on the toggle to turn it off.

Now, automatic emojis will be disabled for that specific server or channel. You can repeat these steps for any other servers or channels where you want to disable automatic emojis.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.
